Different types of fixtures not only affect the light in a room, but the way a room is used as well. For example, in a large space, one or more pendants can help define a smaller portion of that space to make it more conducive to particular activities, such as dining, cozying up with a book or some other activity.
Even one fixture, if it is the right type, can completely change the setting of a room. A modern fixture placed in an otherwise traditional space can freshen up the design and even enhance the traditional elements.
