Personalize your personal space.
Savoy House Lighting
Just because no one else sees your laundry room, clothes closet, home office or other out-of-the-way space is no reason it shouldn't reflect your style with attractive furnishings and lighting.
DRESS IT UP
Turn your closet into a wardrobe wonderland.
Whether your dressing area or closet is a wardrobe wonderland, a cramped cubby or something in between, adding a touch of style, maybe even a little sparkle, can make it a comfortable place to rejuvenate and prepare for the day. A right-size chandelier, well-placed sconce or trendy flush-mount ceiling fixture can turn any size space into your comfort zone. Go ahead and glam it up or whatever makes you feel good. After all, it's for your eyes only.

EXPERT ADVICE
Ask a lighting professional.
My husband and I just bought a new home that needs updated lighting in several rooms (laundry, pantry, foyer). What are the most important things I need to know before going shopping at a lighting store? --Mollie W.
Shopping for new lighting can be fun, as long as you take a few minutes to prepare ahead of time. It’s always a good idea to go to a physical store to see the fixtures and talk to a lighting expert. They are trained to advise you and help you find the best size, type and style of fixture for your room at or below your target price point.
Capital Lighting Fixture Co.
In preparation to visit a showroom, measure the ceiling height (if shopping for a hanging fixture), as well as the length and width of each room needing new lighting. Your consultant will need the dimensions to determine the appropriate size fixture for your space(s). Getting the fixture size just right can be extra difficult in very large rooms (i.e. large family room with a vaulted ceiling) as well as in small spaces (i.e. laundry room, powder room, hallway). Another important pre-visit step is to take photos of the rooms in which your new lighting will go. The pictures will help with size selection, as well as narrow down the types and styles of lights that will work best in your space.
