2026 Women in Lighting Leadership Award (WiLLA)

Each year, the Women in Lighting Committee proudly presents the Women in Lighting Leadership Award (WiLLA), and nominations are now open!

WiLLA honors one outstanding individual who has made a meaningful impact in the lighting industry over the past two years through leadership, advocacy, mentorship, and service.

Submit a Nomination Here

Nominees may be recognized for contributions in at least two of the following areas:

Leadership or achievement in the lighting industry
Support of ALA
Mentoring other women in the industry
Commitment to community through philanthropy or volunteerism

Nominees must be ALA members, nominated by an ALA member, and are selected by a vote of the Women in Lighting Committee.

Help us shine a light on the leaders who are shaping our industry and submit a nomination today!

Deadline to nominate a member is April 1, 2026.

Sign-up for 2026 is now open!

There's still time to sign up to take part in the 2026 round of the ALA Women in Lighting mentorship group program!

Complete the sign-up form by Monday, January 19, 2026 to participate in a mentorship group this year.

All ALA members are invited to join a monthly virtual group from

March to November 2026. This group will ask questions, share experiences, and discuss issues and ideas in a confidential setting. A volunteer facilitator will guide each mentorship group to optimize the dialogues.

If you participated in 2025, you must complete a new sign-up form for 2026.

Deadline to sign up for 2026 is January 19th! So, register today!
